If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be able to claim benefits towards eligible dental treatments, such as check-ups, cleans, fluoride treatments and more.

The benefits available to you depend on your health fund, level of cover, annual limits and waiting periods. We recommend checking with your health fund before your appointment to understand what you’re covered for and how much you can claim.

Make the most of your dental benefits

Health fund benefits and annual limits generally reset at a set time each year. For many funds, this is 31 December, but some funds may have different reset dates.

If you have unused dental benefits, consider booking your next appointment before your benefits reset. This can help you make the most of the cover available to you.
